Manufactured in 1866-1871 by the Providence Tool Company, Providence Rhode Island. Blue 20" barrel with casehardened frame, lever, and hammer. Straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Saddle ring on left side of frame. Small blade front sight. Fold down leaf rear barrel sight. Sling swivels. Built for foreign contract/sale as evident of the "WC" cartouche located on left side at wrist. Sub-inspection "E" at top front of frame, and rear of loading gate/follower. Sub-inspection letter "S" on front of lever retainer, "F" at rear of bottom tang, and "H" on loading lever. Sub-inspection "R" located on buttplate, top of heel. Numbers "7131" stamped on left side of stock. CONDITION: Excellent plus with 98% dull military style blue on barrel. 90%+ case color on frame, lever, and hammer. Bore is excellent, bright and clean. Wood is excellent showing modest wear. -MKS-
