Made by the Starr Arms Company located in Yonkers New York. Approximately 5,000 were produced and delivered to the Winchester Virginia Ordnance Department in 1865. 21" round barrel with blade front sight and "V" notch, elevation adjustable rear barrel sight. Saddle ring with staple mounted to left side of receiver. Chambered in .52 caliber rimfire. Blue with case hardened receiver, hammer. lever, buttplate, and barrel band. Two piece straight grain oil finished stock and forearm. CONDITION: Excellent with blue turning a blue brown patina on barrel with scattered oxidation. Receiver retaining approximately 50-60% original mottled case color. Wood is excellent showing modest wear with scattered dings and scratches. Action is tight. Bore is excellent and bright. -MKS-
