Fluted 20" barrel chambered in .320 cartridge (similar to .32-44). Serial number 149. Blue with case hardened hammer and trigger guard. Dovetailed blade front sight and fold down two-leaf rear barrel sight. Red mottled hard rubber checkered forearm and two piece grips with S&W monogram. Complete with detachable shoulder stock. Blue hardware with plain straight grain walnut stock and black checkered hard rubber buttplate with S&W monogram. Made between 1879-1887. Approximately 224 examples with 20" barrels were produced. CONDITION: Excellent overall with approximately 95% original thinning blue on barrel and frame. Cylinder is mostly a grey/brown patina. Hammer and trigger guard show traces of case color turning a dove grey patina. Hard rubber grips and forearm are excellent showing modest wear. Commonly seen grips darker in color than forearm. Bore is darkening with areas of moderate abrasion. Detachable stock is excellent showing minimum wear. Hardware showing 85-90% original thinning blue. -MKS-
