1863 vintage Fourth Model 1851 Navy revolver. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, and hammer. Factory engraved in typical Gustave Young tradition featuring foliate scrolls. Wolf's head motif on hammer. Gothic birds head on barrel lug. Banner on left barrel lug with inscription "UNITED WE STAND" right barrel lug has banner with inscription "DIVIDED WE FALL". Matching serial number 169624 on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and barrel wedge. One piece ivory grips with carved Eagle and shield. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Entire revolver is a pleasing brown patina with scattered traces of original blue. Missing 1/8" x 3/8" inch section of ivory located at the heel on both sides of grip. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is fine with modest abrasion. Overall a very colorful and attractive Civil War era revolver. -MKS-
