Standard configuration. Dated 1865 at the rear of the lock. "G.P." inspectors marks on barrel in addition to the standard VP eaglehead. No discernible date on barrel. Sharp clear "JT" cartouches on left side of stock. Also has a "G.P." inspectors mark in the wood just ahead of the buttplate tang, and "G.F.R." marking behind the trigger guard tang. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing patina overall with areas of light uniform pitting. Lock markings are sharp and clear. Top of barrel where the date would have been appears to have been cleaned at one time. Wood is fine with some light dings and handling marks, sharp cartouches. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR
