Owen and Edward Evans of Montgomery, Pennsylvania made 1797 style flint smoothbore musket with lock marked "Evans" with "US" at rear of lock. Eagle proofed smoothbore musket barrel with bayonet lug. Walnut musket style stock with iron furniture and steel ramrod. CONDITION: Metal surfaces pitted and are fading to a grey patina. Wood is oil soaked with heavy usage marks. Appears to be original flint lock with dark pitted bore. Missing front sling swivel. Broken tang. Good mechanics. DLM
