Frederick Goetz and Charles Westphall of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania manufactured 1808 Contract musket with "(Eagle) / US" in front of the cock and "G&W Philada" at the rear of the lock. Musket style smoothbore barrel with "P" proof and "CP1182" at breech. Walnut musket style stock with iron furniture and steel ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good condition with pitted exterior fading to silver. Appears to be original flint with lock not functioning. Wood is oil soaked with cracks and breaks seemingly from cracks in grain of wood. Tang screw is a modern replacement. DLM
