Clip point bowie knife blade with a 3-1/8" false edge that is unsharpened. Left side of blade stamped with a star, a cross, and "JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS / CUTLERS TO THEIR MAJESTY / NO 6 NORFOLK STREET / SHEFFIELD". Fine scalloped guard of nickel silver with ornate two piece gutta percha handle. Both sides show a relief gargoyle and a winged griffin. Complete with its original brown leather scabbard with nickel silver mounts. CONDITION: Blade shows some frosting on both sides, there is one chip out of the edge, and a couple other minor nicks. Markings are excellent. Grips are excellent and show no chipping, cracking, or wear. Scabbard very good, showing some minor repair to drag and some minor cracking to leather. DMG
