Manufactured in Saint Etienne France these unique top break revolvers were produced in center fire, rim fire and pin fire. 5-1/2" octagon barrel with drift adjustable front and rear sights. Single and double action operation with smooth highly figured walnut grip with oblong grip cap with lanyard. Produced by Michele Javelle maker of revolvers and cartridges of St. Etienne, France. Frame is marked on bottom "Javelle M St Etienne" with French proofs and serial number '2'. The serial number is also found on the rear of the six shot cylinder. CONDITION: Fair, exterior is lightly pitted from poor storage. Bore has strong rifling and some darkness in lands. Action operates properly in single action but is out of order in double action. The grips are very good and the markings are legible. TDW
