Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine with breechblock marked "U.S. Model 1873". "C" marked rear adjustable sight with blade front sight. Lock marked with "(Eagle) / US / Springfield". Walnut wood stock with U.S. marked trap buttplate with cleaning rod inside. Stock has cartouche(illegible) and carbine style sling bar. CONDITION: 80% remaining original blue with traces of original case on breech block. Added checkering with finish rubbed. Good bore with good mechanics. An original carbine with added checkering. DLM
