Dated 1916 on chamber. Manufactured by DWM with rust blue finish and checkered wood grips. Comes with wood based magazine. All matching numbers throughout with the exception of magazine. 1916 was the highest production year for DWM as the war effort was in full swing in Germany. Attrition was exceedingly high with the losses on two fronts was exhausting all military resources and equipage. CONDITION: Very good as found and is totally fresh to the market. The action is very sluggish as it has very old congealed grease internally. Most all the original blue finish remains with very light but typical high point blue wear and the side plate is turning patina. The bore is very fine with sharp lands and grooves. The grips are very good with several very small bruises. A very nice untouched WWI Luger. It comes in a cut down artillery holster. Stitching is tight and serviceable. Some crazing across the holster. TDW
