Late production double action five shot Pocket Model, chambered in .38 caliber with 5 - 1/2" barrel and interchangeable 2 - 3/4" barrel. Pinned full radius front sight with "V" notch rear sight on both barrels. Serial number 17161 matching on revolver, cylinder, and 5 - 1/2" barrel. 2 - 3/4" barrel set is serial number 3639 however fits and operates with revolver perfectly. Nickel with saw type handle. Black two piece checkered hard rubber grips. Lanyard in butt. Case hardened hammer and trigger. Fold down hammer spur. Complete with original hinged tan box with label in lid titled: "MERWIN, HULBERT & CO'S AUTOMATIC" and "DIRECTIONS FOR MANIPULATING THE ARM". CONDITION: Near mint overall, possibly unfired. 99% bright original nickel on revolver and both barrel sets. Light drag line on cylinder. Face of cylinder and bores are near mint with no signs of powder burn or firing. Grips are near mint showing little to no wear. Box is excellent with a few tattered edges. Would be difficult to improve on. -MKS-
