Lot consists of: (A) Gillespie single shot belt pistol. 6-3/4" octagon .40 caliber rifled barrel with brass drift adjustable front sight. Back action lock is marked "GILLESPIE" on plain background with a small rope pattern border engraved upon lock and hammer. Nickel silver buttcap, trigger guard, and wedge escutcheon have matching rope border. CONDITION: Fair as entire gun has had a clear coat of preservative applied that is now yellowing. Bore is very strong with darkness. Barrel and lock are brown patina. Action operates properly. (B) Assembled flintlock belt pistol with Goulcher lock and 10" .44 caliber octagon rifled barrel. Assembled from both early and contemporary components; however is quite attractive. Brass furniture with barrel being retained by two pins. CONDITION: Good as aged to appear of earlier manufacture. Lock operates properly, Iron is a even contemporary patina. TDW
