Manufactured 1915-1917. Manufactured by Vickers Limited in England for the Dutch during the conflict between Germany and the Netherlands. These rare guns are typically found in very poor condition as their service was primarily in the Dutch East Indies. Production is believed to be less than 10,000. After being hard used in a terrible environment these guns were returned to the Netherland and refurbished for reissue and consequently are considered correct and authentic by collectors today in their arsenal refurbished state. Marked Vickers LTD on toggle with blank chamber. Small Crown with script "W" on left frame for Queen Wilhelmina. British proofs on bottom of barrel. Pattern 1906 with grip safety and produced without stock lug, extractor marked Geladen on both sides. Safety marked RUST (Dutch for at ease/safe). All matching numbers throughout including grips, toggle, frame, side plate, trigger, T/D latch, grip safety, firing pin, and retainer. Rust blue finish with dark straw appointments. Comes with proper nickel finished wood bases magazine without numbers or proofs. CONDITION: Excellent as properly arsenal refinished. Most all finish remains with very slight muzzle and extreme high point finish wear. Bore is excellent and action operates properly. The numbers matching grips are very good. The magazine is good with a small area of nickel loss on bottom left side. TDW
