Fantastic condition TNW manufactured gun utilizing original G.I. parts to made the semi-automatic only version of the Browning .50 caliber heavy machine gun. Special accessories include a Bechdon company rear sight bracket with rail for a scope, two linking machines, a clamp on flash hider, and standard traverse and elevation mechanism. Perhaps the best accessory of all is the modern military Model 205 ground tripod, which in addition to being light weight, has sight graduations indexed on the tripod itself. Consignor states this is the only tripod of this kind he is aware of in private hands. Gun’s receiver is TNW marked and top of gun bears a sticker indicating it was used in .50 caliber Shooter’s Association world championship shoot in 2003. Charging handle and spade handle grips are wood. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original smooth gray refinish upon remanufacture with some light handling marks. Tripod is likewise near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt is also near excellent. The Browning .50 Caliber machine gun is always one of the most popular and distinctive sounding guns at any range event. This semi-automatic version will fire nearly if not just as fast once the firer has become used to the trigger. The Browning is one of the most classic and certainly one of the longest service-used firearms designs in the world today. With the accompanying tripod, this is a very attractive package indeed, and no waiting for NFA paperwork, as it is a modern semi-auto. JWK 2020-05-022
