Early SA dagger with a "CARL FR. KUHRT" maker marked blade, which is ranked 8th on the rarity scale. Blade has nice cross graining with light runner and scattered marks, and some very light freckling near the cross guard. Solid nickel fittings have a uniform moderate age patina with very light scratches, and the cross guard has the SA District marking of "Fr" (Franken). Rosewood grip has been factory lacquered and retains 85-90%. Early SA eagle and emblem exhibit light wear. Anodized scabbard retains 25-30% of its thinning original brown finish, with freckling scattered throughout. Nickel fittings have uniform patina, and the lower fitting has approximately a dozen very light dents on the edges, and several on the main surfaces.Plated nickel steel fittings have a nice age patina throughout, with a couple of light scrapes and tiny dings near the tip. Correct hangars are attached, and one is marked "RZM, M5/8" and the other "A" for "Assmann", and "DRGM". CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WZ
