Made for domestic sale in Germany by DWM and exported in very limited numbers. Caliber 9mm with 4" barrel. Produced with grip safety and without stock lug. Deep commercial rust blue finish with dark straw finished appointments. Checkered walnut grips and nickel finished magazine with wood base. Commercially serial numbered 44519 and marked "Germany" for export. Drift adjustable front sight with "V" slot rear sight. Marked DWM on toggle and commercially proofed on bottom of barrel. Primary components numbered and found to be matching include trigger, sideplate and retainer, barrel, frame, grip safety, toggle, and bolt. These commercially produced Model 1906 Lugers were rarely imported into the United States as the "American Eagle" was already being imported and handled by numerous retailers. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with 99% of the blue finish remaining with some slight browning from age coming to surface when observed under high intensity light. Bore is excellent and as as new. The grips are very fine with a period repaired shrinkage crack on left grip at base but is only visible after disassembly. The straw finish is as new and is a testament to its unused condition. All markings and proofs are crisp and legible. TDW
