Manufactured in 1936. Produced by Mauser under contract with a 4" barrel chambered for 9mm. All markings in Farsi including serial numbers. Fitted with checkered walnut grips and nickel finished magazine with alloy base and Farsi markings. Comes in period unmarked leather clamshell pattern holster. The Persian contract was for 1000 4" models and later 1000 8" Artillery models with stock and holster. CONDITION: Very fine as possibly arsenal refurbished in Persia/Iran. Matching Farsi numerals with exception of proper pattern Farsi marked magazine. Grips are without number. No import markings. Bore is excellent and action operates properly. Grips are slightly worn but very good. This is an exceptionally fine example as a number of these Persian Lugers were imported in the late 1980's and were in poor condition and import marked. This is obviously not one of these. Brown leather holster is soft, stitching solid and leather supple. No markings observed. TDW
