Manufactured 1935. Contracted for the German Luftwaffe. Commercial Krieghoff HK Suhl marked toggle with "S" code chamber. Rust blue finish with straw appointments. Serial number 2328 with thick checkered walnut grips with matching numbers and Krieghoff proofs. Matching numbers nickel sheet metal magazine with alloy base and matching numbers and Krieghoff proof eagle 2. Extractor marked Geladen. Matching numbers observed on frame upper, trigger, magazine toggle, bolt, side plate and retainer. Small parts are Krieghoff Proofed Eagle 2. CONDITION: Very good with 90% blue finish remaining with losses at muzzle and edges from holster use. Grips are very good with sharp checkering points and crisp numbers and proofs. Bore is very fine sharp and right. Sideplate lock is strangely marked with both serial number 20 on outside and 28 on interior. Straw on safety and hammer have been enhanced to appear near new. These early Pre-War contracted Lugers saw extensive use and very low survival. A rare opportunity to own an all matching (including magazine) Luftwaffe Krieghoff S-Code Luger. TDW
