Lot consists of: Gun (A) is a .36 caliber double action Starr Navy Model 1858 revolver. Only 3,000 of these were made between 1858-1860. This appears to be a civilian gun, as it lacks any military proofs. CONDITION: Gun has been touched up and cleaned. Markings are clear. Wood grips have some dings and handling marks. Bore has strong rifling and pitting. Good mechanical function. Gun (B) is a Joslyn Army Model revolver. Only 3,000 of these guns were produced total from 1861-1862. This is particular gun is of the standard model of which 2,500 were produced. No military inspectors marks, however they are generally considered a secondary martial pistol by collectors. CONDITION: The gun shows signs of having been refinished at some point in the past, of which approximately 30% remains on the frame and cylinder. There is light pitting in areas, especially on the cylinder. There are 2 brazed repairs to the grip straps. Matching grips have some dings and handling marks, with a chip out of the rear of the left side. Good mechanical function. The very rear of the cylinder pin is broken off. A solid representative example of a hard to find gun. GR
