Manufactured late 1933-early 1934 the "S" code Simson luger is known as the last series manufactured by Simson & Co before Nazi occupation and control. 9mm with 4" barrel. Completely matching with exception of magazine. Rust blue finish with straw finished appointments. "S" marked toggle with blank chamber. Simpson eagle 6 proofs are found on all primary and small parts. Grips are numbered and matching with addition to name J.P Carl F.K. scratched into interior. Magazine while not matching is appropriate Simson proofed. Serial number 1462a. The very limited production of these pistols is indicated by the "a" series is the only known to exist, estimated production is 10,000 to 12,000 total. CONDITION: Very good with barrel and toggle retaining 85% original finish the frame retains 65% finish with losses contained to grips straps. Bore is very good. Over 80% original authentic straw finish remains. Grips are good with slight wear and no chipping. An extremely rare and desirable Luger of the highest quality and rarely offered. TDW
