Lot consists of (A) Manufactured 1872-73. Smith & Wesson Model 3 Single Action revolver with 8" barrel chambered for the 44 American cartridge. Blue finish with custom lug for shoulder stock and special sights and locking latch by Gastine Rennette in Paris France. Serial number 3039 found on butt and inside checkered grips and assembly number 41 found on frame, cylinder and barrel under latch. Barrel is marked in script Gastine Rennette Paris in gullet beneath rib. CONDITION: Very good as custom finished with excellent bore and chambers show evidence of being lined. Action is smooth and operates properly. Grips are good with small gouges from right grip at base and heel. (B) Smith & Wesson New Model 3 revolver in .44 Russian. Serial number 31308 found on butt, cylinder barrel under latch, and scribed in right grip internally. 6-1/2" barrel with blade front sight and post rear sight attached to latch. CONDITION: Very fine as restored. Totally refinished with excellent action and excellent bore and chambers. TDW
