Introduced by Hugo Borchardt in 1893 and produced by Loewe in Berlin. Serial number 1082 with matching numbers including grips and all four magazines. 7 - 1/2" 7.65mm Borchardt barrel with integral blade front sight and “BUG” proofs on left side. “D.R.P./No75837.” on center toggle link. “BUG” proofs on toggle assembly and left side of receiver. “SYSTEM BORCHARDT PATENT.” on right receiver. Checkered walnut grips with border. Numbered parts on gun are matching. Walnut board stock with makers marking "GESLETZLICH GESCHUTZT" on spine but without serial number, cheek piece is numbered to gun. Four original magazines with matching serial numbers, dummy wooden magazine/breech cleaning hold open (with same makers mark as stock) which contains a three piece brass cleaning rod with oiler in the handle, screwdriver with one blade, three punches, and brass cleaning rod. Gun, stock, and accessories in original black leather case with nickel plated fittings. Compartmentalized green felt lined interior. CONDITION: Excellent. Retaining 95% original bright blue with light wear on sharp edges. Fire blued parts are bright with minor wear. Original straw is 80%. Bore is bright and sharp. Grips are excellent with some minor indentations on lower border of left hand grip. Magazines are in very fine condition with very little wear. Stock is good with evidence of earlier refinish. Blue on metal parts is bright with light wear on corners. Fire blued screws look beautiful with very little wear. Cheekpiece is very fine with beautiful finish, bright fire blue, and proper patina on brass. Dummy magazine is in excellent condition with original finish on wood and proper patina on brass. Screwdriver has some dents and dings on wood handle and minor wear on blade and punches. Brass rod has little wear with original patina and a few areas of verdigris. Exterior of case has scuffs, scrapes and a couple cracks on top as well as finish losses at ends. Fittings are excellent. Key is included. Interior felt is very good as is possibly replaced. TDW
