Proofed in 1972, this fine gun features three barrel sets. All three sets of mono-bloc manufacture. The first set with wide matted top rib that has small brown front bead and gold inlaid "I" at breech end. Breech end of barrels finely rose and scroll engraved and barrel flats with serial number and proof info. This set of barrels has been ported at muzzle ends and has a small wedge of scroll there. Barrel set #2 with same top rib as #1, unported, small wedge of scroll at muzzle end, and gold inlaid "II" at breech ends. Barrel set #3 same as #2 with small brown front bead and gold inlaid "III" at breech ends. Barrel steel on all three sets "Acciaio Special" as noted on bottoms of barrels and tops of barrels engraved on left sides "Manifatura Armi Perazzi Brescia" and "Made in Italy". There are two finger grooved forends accompanying the gun, one with iron, one is wood only. Iron is blued and engraved in rose and scroll pattern and forearm is checkered in point pattern. Action is french grey and fully engraved with large game scenes executed by Galeazzi and include three large gold dogs on left with gold inlaid two ducks in marsh scene on left, three large gold inlaid ducks on bottom coming in to land, and two large gold inlaid dogs with three large gold inlaid ducks on left side in marsh scene all surrounded by fine and well executed rose and scroll engraving. Gun made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and safety which is currently blocked. Flat knob pistol grip buttstock is honey colored and checkered in two point pattern through the wrist, has small Monte Carlo, and terminates with a thin black Decelerator brand pad. Housed in a brown leather brass appointed case with red felt interior. CONDITION: Excellent as field used. Barrels retain more than 95% original blue. Action is excellent with good gray color and only very minor staining noted. Stocks are excellent, sound and retain most of their original finish with handling marks and light hunting bumps. There is a small series of marks behind the top tang that have darkened. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are bright and shiny. Case is very good with minor rubs. JSL
