Lot consists of: (A) This poster is printed on poster board and features a colored illustration of a sailor, marine, and a army solider. It is issued for the newly founded V.F.W. that was organized in 1899, representing "America's Old Guard". CONDITION: Excellent to near mint condition with a clean white background. (B) Is dated 1917, this is a Statue of Liberty second liberty loan of 1917 U.S. bond poster. Features great image of the Statue of Liberty at sunset that is superposed with the American flag. CONDITION: Excellent condition with bright color with some light staining on upper right corner. Lower right has 8" of chipping, none of which is in the image and some light foxing at base. (C) Features Uncle Sam with his arms around the soldier and an employee of the war saving stamp. The image of Uncle Sam is a very early style. CONDITION: Is in very good condition. Top right and left corners have pieces missing, borders have toning, lower border has some foxing and peripheral damage with some light water staining. Still quite striking. (D) Sweeney Litho Company cloth banner or flag with red, white, and blue featuring the large victory "V" in center. This is the first of these we have seen. CONDITION: Excellent clean condition with no tears. (E) World War I Liberty Loan poster. CONDITION: No mailing folds, light foxing at top, more severe foxing on right side. White background is clean, as are the vivid red, white, and blue color scheme. (F) Red Cross poster features the color vignettes of the first three U.S. soldiers to die in France during the first World War, that included Thomas Francis Enright was the first Pennsylvanian serviceman and perhaps the first American serviceman to die in World War I, along with Corporal James Bethel Gresham of Evansville, Indiana and Private Merle Hay of Glidden, Iowa. "Give till it Hurts, they gave until they died.". CONDITION: There is no fold lines, it is in excellent condition with brilliant color. (A) measures 15"x20" (B) measures 20"x30" (C) measures 21"X32" (D) measures 29-1/2" x 33-1/2", (E) measures 20" x 30", (F) measures 20" x 27"..
