Lot consists of: (A) Manufactured 1882, Springfield Trapdoor rifle upgraded to 1888 configuration with ramrod bayonet, Buffington sight, 1-piece trigger guard, and trap butt for cleaning tools. Mounted with original leather trapdoor rifle sling. CONDITION: Very good with over 50% original blue finish on barrel. Good bore and action operates properly. Stock has been lightly sanded but cartouche is partially visible. (B) Springfield Model 1868 Trapdoor rifle chambered for .50-70 Gov't cartridge with ladder adjustable rear sight, full length stock, and mounted with original leather trapdoor Springfield rifle sling. CONDITION: Very good as cleaned with stock being very lightly sanded with visible cartouche. Excellent bore and action operates properly. Sling is still supple. TDW
