Proofed in 1969 and made on a Merkel style crossbolt action. This three mono-bloc barrel set with each barrel having a low profile matted ventilated rib with large white beads at muzzle. Made with finely checkered three piece forends, which has floral engraved Deeley release and makers crest in gold. Checkering is of very fine quality in point pattern at tip. Tops of barrels with gold inlaid Roman numerals I on 20 gauge, II on 28 gauge and III on .410 gauge on tops. Barrel lumps with serial number and proof marks. Breech ends of barrels are floral engraved and shaded. The coin finished receiver is beautifully engraved in full coverage floral scroll pattern with "FAMARS" in gold on bottom. Top of action is full coverage engraved in floral scroll with stunning pierced top lever and top tang also engraved. Safety with "SIGURA" marked at front. Made with non-selective single trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. Trigger guard is full coverage engraved with serial number at tang. The flat knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and has small Monte Carlo and terminates with a finely checkered butt. Initials "JEB" inlaid in gold in large letters in grip. Housed in a full leather case with green cloth interior which is all housed in a full leather outer cover. Top of case with initial plaque "JBE". CONDITION: Very fine as lightly field used. Breech face shows evidence of firing. Barrels retain more than 95% original blue with some beginning minor muzzle wear. Receiver is very fine and retains nearly all of its fine coin finish. Stocks are sound and have minor impressions, most notably towards toe, but overall are excellent and retain nearly all of their original finish. The case is excellent with minor scuffs, outer cover with some stains and wear. Overall a beautiful early Famars gun with a lot of utility in this set! JSL
