Manufactured by the Bacon Arms Company, Norwich, Connecticut during the late 1860's with an estimated total production of 1,000. Six shot barrel cluster, measuring 2 - 3/8". Chambered in .22 caliber rimfire. Iron frame with spur trigger. Two piece rosewood grips. This example is believed to have been originally entirely silver plated. Complete with the original two piece pasteboard box. Beautiful graphics displaying an image of the revolver. CONDITION: Excellent overall with only traces of original silver finish remaining under the grips. Overall a gunmetal grey patina. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Box is excellent with bright graphics. Edges show moderate tattering. An original handwritten note inside that reads: "PRESENTED TO J.H. PEABODY BY HIS FATHER SEPT. 22, 1866" "NECESSITAS NON HABET LEGEM" (Necessity knows no law). Overall a most unique and interesting revolver with the original box. -MKS-
