S&W New Model Number Three single action revolver, manufactured between 1878-1912. Serial number 12603, with matching serial numbers observed on the barrel and cylinder. Five-point star located on the butt along with two date codes, 10.42 and 5.43, observed under the grips, indicating factory rework. Blue with a 6 - 1/2" ribbed barrel. Full radius, pinned front sight. Square notch rear sight. Chambered in .44 Russian. Two piece ivory grips. Detachable walnut stock with blue hardware and black hard rubber, checkered buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, refinished with 93% reapplied blue remaining. Bore is excellent and bright. Action is tight and crisp. Inspection plate on left side of frame does not fit properly. Detachable stock is excellent with approximately 93% original blue on hardware. Wood is excellent, showing light wear. Buttplate is excellent. -MKS-
