1907 vintage Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine, serial number 404660. 22" round barrel with fold down ladder rear and tall blade front sights. Carbine style plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Forearm has finger groove and top hand shield. Steel carbine style buttplate. Chambered in .30-06 Government. Saddle ring on left side of receiver. CONDITION: Near excellent overall. Barrel has 95% original blue. Receiver, magazine, and lever show 5-10% original blue with balance a grey/gunmetal patina. Wood is solid showing modest wear. Bore is excellent. Action is tight and crisp. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. -MKS-
