(A) Brown Merrill rifle conversion. Cal, 58 Berdan (centerfire). Produced in Mass, from British 1853 Enfield rifles. One piece walnut stock with Brass furniture. Bolt action conversion with external hammer. CONDITION. Fair with rear sight missing, Barrel polished bright with markings removed. Bolt fails to operates/ close and needs internal attention. Stock has been refinished. (B) Unusual European trapdoor conversion. Very similar to Wanzel but with different breech handle. .455 Bore diameter, 31 inch barrel with attachment for sabre bayonet. No Markings on rifle with exception of (star ove R ) proof. CONDITION, Good with action operating properly, bore is good. Stock is good with period bruising but very solid. tdw
