Lot consists of: A) Marlin Ballard No.2 Sporting Rifle made from 1876 to 1891. Blued octagon barrel with Rocky Mountain rear sight and blade front sight. Case hardened receiver, plain trigger with reversible firing pin. Walnut wood stock with case hardened steel buttplate. CONDITION: A) 90% blue on barrel from old reblue with plugged sight notch in front of receiver. 70% original case with 70% original varnish. Light handling marks. Good bore and mechanics. B) Marlin Ballard No. 2 Sporting Rifle made from 1876-1891. Rebabarrel by A.O. Niedner Dowagiac, Michigan. Blued barrel with ramp front sight. Double set trigger action with Marble's Tang sight. Custom wood with checkering and cheekpiece. Plain walnut forearm. CONDITION: B) 90% barrel blue with action turning plum. 70% varnish with light handling marks. Good bore and mechanics. C) Marlin Ballard No. 4 Perfection Rifle made from 1876-1891. Blued half round half octagon barrel with flip down front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Case hardened receiver with plugged holes for tang sight and full loop lever. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and Semi-Swiss butt. Checkered walnut forearm with Schnabel. CONDITION: C) Blue fading to 60% with receiver turning plum. 50% original varnish with some usage marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
