Manufactured 1918. Half moon front sight, bevelled U notch rear sight, two line two block patent and address information on left side of slide, with rampant Colt at rear, "Model of 1911 U.S. Army" on right side, "H" at top of firing pin retaining plate channel. Barrel with "I" on left lug, "5" in front of lug, "P" and "H" on top of breech parallel to bore. Recoil spring with added shock buff. Left side of dust cover with "United States Property" and Gilbert inspection near magazine release. Checkered slide release, left side only safety, magazine release, spurred hammer. Short 1911 grip safety spur, flat smooth mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Magazine with "R" on lip of baseplate, indicating Risdon manufacture. CONDITION: Good as refinished. There are numerous areas of pitting scattered throughout the frame, retaining approximately half of the blue, majority on slide. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with visible rifling and even oxidation throughout. EW
