Serrated slope front sight, square notch rear sight, P proof on top on slide, "REMINGTON RAND INC / SYRACE, N.Y. U.S.A." on left side in two lines. Barrel with "HS on right lug, "P" on left. Serrated slide release and arched mainspring housing, checkered hammer, safety, magazine release, short stamped trigger. FJA and P proofs on left side of frame, 6 proof on left side of trigger guard, right with 7 and F. Frame with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over "NO." and serial number, right of slide pin hole is "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" Keyes brown grips with reinforcing rings. Blued magazine with "S" on baseplate lip. CONDITION: Excellent original finish with some scattered marks from handling and operation. Ordnance wheel with good visible metal in lines. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent, bright and shiny, with good lands and grooves. An outstanding example. EW
