Slope front sight, u notch beveled rear sight, left side of slide with two line two block patent and Colt information, Rampant Colt at rear, right side with "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 45". Marked "S" under the firing pin retaining plate. Barrel with "T" in front of lug. Checkered slide release, left side only safety, magazine release, and spurred trigger. Short 1911 grip safety, Smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Smooth face trigger. Right side of frame with "GOVERNMENT MODEL" and serial number. Left side of trigger guard with Colt VP proof and "y" sub inspector mark, top of bridle with "y" and "S" near disconnector hole. Two rivet magazine with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond grips of later manufacture. Accompanied by Colt factory letter indicating shipment to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri, February 12th, 1915. CONDITION: Fine as professionally restored, retaining the vast majority of the later applied finishes with some minor marks from handling and operation and some light visible pitting under blue. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore has visible rifling and even oxidation throughout. EW
