Small bead front sight with no rear shotgun sight on machine matted slightly raised rib. Pop up rifle sight set into rib articulated by tang mounted selector switch. Small milled out panel with Burgsmuller information and address. "Fluhsstahl / Fr. Krupp / Essen" logo at breeches, which are engraved with bordered florals and relieved for sideclips. Splinter forearm with Deely release and point pattern checkering. Boxlock receiver engraved with acanthus and florals around vignettes on left side of two deer in a meadow scene, right side with a birddog retrieving a woodcock. Double triggers, front set for rifle, enclosed in a horn triggerguard with long tang running to pistol grip, which has a horn cap. Wrist checkering in point pattern. Beaded cheekpiece, toe compartment for four rounds of 9.3x72R, possibly a later addition. Stock terminates in a horn buttplate. Sling swivels soldered to bottom of rifle barrel and at stock in front of toe compartment. CONDITION: Fair to good. Metal retains the vast majority of blacking with a few marks from handling and operation alongside some age related patina on barrels. Forearm with one repaired crack running vertically through the release that is now stable. One live crack on right side of tang that shows evidence of previous attempt at repair with wood fill. One crack at left side of wrist that runs through checkering and to safety, appears stable. One chip missing at bottom of buttplate. Triggers are gummy but operate correctly. Bores are good with some evidence of use and minor denting. Accompanied by four rounds of 9.3x72R soft points with S&B headstamps. EW
