Lot consists of a Astra Model 1921 and a Walther P.38. (A) Manufactured by Astra for the Chilean Navy, only 842 of these pistols were manufactured and delivered in 1930. Matching numbers include the frame, slide, and barrel. Top of the slide is marked with a star over "MARINA DE CHILE" with the rear being marked "ESPERANZA Y UNCETA GUERNICA ESPANA/ PISTOLA DE 9m/m/ MODELO 1921". Complete with one additional magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain areas of original bluing, with the balance exhibiting thinning to the finish with patina showing through. Barrel shows cleaned pitting throughout, but retains good rifling. Plastic grips show usual wear from handling and use. (B) P.38 manufactured by Walther in 1940. The pistol retains mostly early war high polish blue finish, with the exception of the barrel, which has partially reblued. Additionally, there is an area next to the frame serial number that appears to have been scratched out. The slide is marked with the early variation "ac/ 40", with which the "40" was applied later at the factory. Matching numbers include the frame and slide. The barrel has been renumbered to match the rest of the pistol. Bakelite grips do not match, but match themselves. Walther eagle over "359" waffenamts found on slide, frame, trigger, hammer, hammer strut, trigger bar, and interior of grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain majority of original high polish blue finish, showing wear and thinning in the appropriate areas with the exception of the reblued area on the replacement barrel. Bore shows cleaned pitting, with fair rifling throughout. MLW
