1879 vintage Model 1878 Colt Double Action Revolver. Serial number 3323, with 323 observed on back of cylinder and loading gate. 5 - 1/2" barrel, marked: "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON." Chambered in .450 Boxer. Left front of trigger guard marked ".45 CAL./B". Two piece checkered walnut grips with lanyard ring located in the butt. British proof marks on bottom of barrel at the breech, and six places at each cylinder flute. CONDITION: Excellent as refinished, with 95+% reapplied blue remaining. Trigger and hammer have a "straw" finish. Bore is fine with moderate abrasion. Action operates phenomenally, tight and crisp. Grips are near excellent. Left side has a sizable dent through the checkering. -MKS-
