Manufactured by Erfurt in 1917. Receiver is stamped "1917" over the chamber with Erfurt proofs on the right. Revision Commission stamps "RC" found on right side of receiver, toggle, and trigger guard. Imperial Reichsadler found on right side of receiver and on the barrel. Erfurt monogram on toggle. Matching numbers include the frame, receiver, trigger sideplate, barrel, toggles, extractor, safety, trigger bar, and hold open latch. Trigger, grips, and magazine are forced matched. Breechblock and firing pin are unnumbered and unmarked. CONDITION: Frame, receiver, and barrel retains good amounts of arsenal applied finish, with overall edge wear showing through to gray patina. Toggles and breechblock retain vast majority of reapplied blue finish, showing light wear to the finish. Markings on the toggles are soft, but legible. Strawed components retain minute areas of finish, aside from trigger and magazine catch, which have been restrawed at some point. Bright mirror bore with well defined rifling. Grips are good, showing smoothing around edges. Overall, a nice P.08 for one to bring to the range. MW
