Manufactured by Mauser in 1942. Receiver is marked "42" over the chamber with a Mauser eagle over "N" commercial proof above the serial number on the left side. Mauser Eagle over "N" commercial proof is also present on the left side of the breechblock. Standard "GESICHERT" safety and "GELADEN" extractor markings. Forward toggle is marked with Mauser's "42" code. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger sideplate, trigger, safety bar, safety catch, hold open latch, receiver, trigger bar, breechblock, firing pin, forward & rear toggles, and receiver axle. Barrel is unnumbered. Checkered black plastic grips are unmarked. Complete with a blued "fxo" magazine with black plastic bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting thinning all around that shows through to patina beneath the bluing. Excellent bright and mirror bore, showing well defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered black plastic grips show few small and minor areas of wear and bear few modest handling marks. A unique Mauser commercially manufactured P.08 pistol. MLW
