Lot consists of (A) Front sight with protective ears and bead sight on raised stippled ramp base. Top of octagonal barrel machine matted with milled out midsection with "Adam Schork, Munchen". Underside with various German proofs. Marked 7068 on left side flat, and 821 on front of receiver. Inside of forearm with 5539 in pencil. Left side of receiver with floral designs and acorns on lined background, Crown RUV proofs, other geometric designs. Orthoptic rear sight on base. Double set triggers. Stock with classic sculpted cheekpiece, flat faced thumbpiece, large checkered panels, and simple line carving. Underside of cheekpiece with illegible signature, presumably who performed the work. Buttstock engraved with florals and stabilizing prong. CONDITION: Good, barrel retains the majority of blue with silvering to high edges and some age related patina. Right side of forearm missing a long sliver across top, with a piece missing out of rear. Receiver essentially gunmental grey with age related staining. Rearsight has been refinished. Buttstock has been sanded and refinished, thumbpiece spliced in from a different piece of wood. (B) George Lonold Zimmerstuetzen with protective ears on front sight with has been replaced by a screw on machine matted island base, mid notch sight, and orthoptic rear sight. "H12H" on underside of barrel and front of receiver. Double set triggers. Case hardened receiver, stock with classic sculpted cheekpiece. Wiping rod in butt. CONDITION: Good as externally restored. Barrel has had some chemical refinishing applied over some areas of oxidation, extensive old oxidation under forearm. Receiver case colored with some losses especially at operational points and retaining much color in protected areas. Inside of "true" action still case colored. Wood has been sanded and refinished with several areas of wood fill and spliced in repairs. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with sharp rifling and some darkness. EW
