Lot consists of: A) Springfield manufactured Model 1868 Trapdoor dated 1870 on the breechblock with Eagle and crossed arrows over US. Lock with 1863 date and Eagle and US Springfield markings. Walnut stock with iron furniture and steel ramrod. US marked buttplate. CONDITION: Gun has been cleaned with blued parts faded to gray. Good mechanics with shoootable bore. (B) U.S. Model 1873 Springfield rifle with 1878 dated breechblock. Undated lock with Eagle in front of hammer. Rifled barrel with adjustable rear sight and blade front sight. Walnut stock with iron furniture and steel ramrod. US marked buttplate. CONDITION: Overall good with shootable bore and good mechanics. Blue fading to gray with traces of varnish. DLM
