Made by Springfield Armory under a royalty agreement with Remington Arms Co. Manufactured during 1871-1872 for a total quantity of approximately 10,000 rifles. Chambered in .50 caliber centerfire. 36" round barrel, secured by 2 barrel bands. Large frame rolling block action. Case hardened frame with balance finished bright. Walnut buttstock with carbine style buttplate. Full length walnut forearm. CONDITION: Very good overall. Frame is bright showing no original case color. Balance of metal repolished bright. Wood is excellent showing moderate wear. Bore is fine with abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
