Lot contains Imperial German saw back M98/05 bayonet with a "Rich A. Herder, Solingen" and "Durkopp Werke" marked blade dated "17" on the spine, with moderate scattered marks, patina, and some freckling. Steel fittings have moderate to heavy freckling and patina, with darkened wooden grip panels. Blued scabbard is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER" and retains 65-70% if its blued finish with freckling and approximately a dozen light dents. Correct leather frog is attached which is dark and heavily worn. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. WZ
