Half moon front sight, u notch beveled rear sight, left side of slide with two line two block patent date and Colt information. "H" at top of firing pin retaining plate channel, perpendicular "8" underneath plate. "H" and "G" on interior of slide. Barrel with "5" in front of lug and on left side of lug. Checkered slide release, magazine release, left side only safety, spurred hammer. Short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Left side of frame with GHS inspector proof for Gilbert Stewart. Truncated diamond grips. Top of frame near disconnector hole stamped "H" "6" and "G". "7" in dust cover. Someone has stamped "HB" on bottom of mainspring housing, and during refinish the U.S. property marking was removed, with rail noticeably relieved of material. CONDITION: Very good as refinished with some softening to legends, and some minor visible pitting under blue. Some silvering to high edges and somewhat more towards muzzle. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with visible rifling and some oxidation and edges of grooves. EW
