Lot consists of a Stoeger Luger and a Walther P.38. (A) Luger manufactured by Stoeger. The pistol was manufactured Pre-1980 as indicated by the aluminum frame. Right side of the frame is marked "LUGER" in a floral oval with the left being marked "Made in U.S.A. by/ STOEGER ARMS CORPORATION/ PATENTS PENDING". Fire and safety indicators are raised and present on either side of the frame. Complete with one magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their applied finish, showing some nicks and wear from use. Bore is good, with good rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips are excellent, showing little wear from use. (B) P.38 manufactured in 1941 by Walther. Pistol appears to be a Russian capture as indicated by the "X" stamped on the slide. Barrel appears to be a replacement and has been renumbered to match. Eagle over "359" visible on frame, slide, and barrel. Brown bakelite grips are unnumbered. Complete with one unnumbered magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their Russian redipped finish, showing little wear to the finish scattered all around. There is pitting and indentations under the bluing, mostly concentrated on the slide and barrel. Bore shows cleaned areas of pitting, but retains strong rifling throughout. Bakelite grips show nicks and smoothing all around. MLW
