Small brass bead front sight on tapered solid machine matte flat rib, with barrel legends indicating manufacture by Ugartechea for the Ruffled Grouse Society in 1985, imported by Exel Arms, Gardner, MA. Underside of barrels with Spanish choke designations for improved mod in left barrel and improved cylinder in right, nominal bore diameters of .622, and serial number. Forearm with Anson plunger release, and point pattern checkering. Iron engraved with simply floral motifs. Inside wood stamped with last three digits of serial number. Six pin hand detachable Holland and Holland style sidelocks engraved with rose and scroll pattern, action flats with 20 gauge proofs, bushed strikers, ejectors, automatic safety, cocking indicators, and trigger guard with "RGS /37 - 75". English straight stock checkered through wrist in point pattern. Right side of stock with inlaid medallion celebrating Ruffled Grouse Society in 1985. Butt with skipline checkering. Housed in what appears to be the original cardboard box identifying this gun by serial number, still containing the original warranty card and description of the gun as commissioned by the Ruffled Grouse Society. CONDITION: Fine, retaining virtually all of the original finishes throughout, with some minor wear from handling and operation. One minor area of rash at forend near bottom of iron, stock with one dent to wood on right sidepanel. Action is very good with tight lockup, ejectors are very slightly out of time with right barrel firing first. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Medallion with some age related staining throughout. Box is good, complete, with some age related compression, staining and two tears. EW
