Manufactured in the 1980s. Fabrique Nationale Herstale Belgium. Browning Hi Power. Caliber 9mm (9x19). Manufactured for law enforcement or military sale as it has no Browning Brothers Ogden Utah markings. Features the MKII High Visibility sights, extended Ambidextrous safeties and black composite grips with checkering and thumbrest. These pistols are finished in a hard black epoxy finish that is virtually indestructible. Fitted from the factory with a lanyard stud on the bottom of the left side. Gun has been upgraded with a fitted ring hammer and new spring kit, but original parts are provided. The MKII Hi-Power pistols saw extensive Military and Police use in Europe as well as a number of the African nations. They were also the issue weapon for the United States FBI Hostage Rescue Team for many years. Includes: 3 magazines, original hammer, stud ring, and original spring kit. CONDITION. Very fine with over 90% of the factory applied black epoxy finish with slight losses at leading edges of the slide and high points. The bore is excellent being bright with sharp lands and grooves. The action operates properly and has no modifications. Frame, barrel, and slide numbers are all matching. The factory composite grips are very good with slight high point wear. An import marking is found on the bottom of the frame. The Military/Police issue MKII FN Hi-Power is very infrequently found in the United States and when found are typically very hard used and not in as fine of condition as this example. TDW
