Made with stunning chain Damascus barrels that have a matted concave top rib with brass front bead. The splinter forend is wave and point checkered with triangular ebony tip and engraved iron. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors (currently functioning as extractors), and auto safety. Case hardened engraved boxlock action is beautifully engraved, perhaps by Edward Latham, with grouse on right, ducks on left, and scroll on bottom and surrounding game scenes on sides. Top lever also scroll engraved. Knob grip buttstock is checkered in point and wave pattern through the wrist and terminates with the original "Ithaca Gun" brand buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent for this age and model. Barrels retain nearly all of their bold Damascus pattern. Action retains about 1/2 of its original case color. Stocks are sound and retain about 90% of their original finish with scattered impressions but nothing serious or offensive. Checkering is fine. Bores with beginning minor frosting ahead of chambers but overall good, and mechanics are excellent with the exception of the ejectors which are currently functioning as extractors. This is a beautiful gun and these early Ithacas are top notch for quality and finish. JSL
CORRECTION: This is an 1895 Crass, not a Lewis. Additionally, manufacture in 1895 makes this an antique, not a C&R.
