Lot consists of: (A) Model 1874 Gras bayonet, backstrap marked from the St. Etienne Arsenal and dated 1878. CONDITION: Blade mostly bright with minor dark staining, wood grips display scattered shallow dents. Steel scabbard retaining most of its original blued finish. (B) Model 1874 Gras bayonet, backstrap marked from the St. Etienne Arsenal and dated 1879. CONDITION: Blade mostly bright with minor dark staining, wood grips display a few shallow dents. Steel scabbard retaining most of its original blued finish with areas of minor surface roughness. (C) Model 1874 Gras bayonet, backstrap marked from the St. Etienne Arsenal and dated 1878. CONDITION: Blade mostly grey with minor dark staining, refinished wood grips. Steel scabbard with no remaining finish and areas of minor dark staining. (D) Model 1874 Gras bayonet, backstrap marked from the St. Etienne Arsenal and dated 1879. CONDITION: Blade mostly bright, wood grips display minor dark staining. Steel scabbard cleaned bright and exhibiting scattered pitting. (E) Model 1874 Gras bayonet, backstrap marked from the St. Etienne Arsenal and dated 1879. No scabbard. CONDITION: Blade mostly grey with minor pitting at the tip, wood grips display scattered shallow dents. (F) Model 1886 Lebel bayonet. CONDITION: Very good with bright blade and scabbard retaining about 50% original black paint. (G) Model 1886 Lebel bayonet. CONDITION: Very good with bright / grey blade, scabbard retaining most of its original black paint. (H) Model 1886 Lebel bayonet. CONDITION. Very good, mostly bright blade with areas of dark staining. Scabbard mostly smooth and grey with areas of light brown staining. (I) Model 1886/35 Lebel bayonet. CONDITION: Blade mostly bright / grey with minor pitting at the tip. Steel scabbard display areas of original blued finish. (J) Model 1866 Chassepot bayonet dated 1873. No scabbard. CONDITION: Blade a mix of smooth and grey finish with areas of dark staining and surface rust. DG
